Would you like to get involved and help us to raise awareness?

Why not send a letter to your local GP surgeries or CCGs and Members of Parliament?

We have provided some templates but please feel free to amend these as you see fit. They are just a guide.

If you have access to a printer, it may be better to post or deliver a letter. GPs/MPs are inundated with emails and a hard copy may get more attention.
If posting or delivering, it would also be helpful to print off a copy of our GP guide and send it with your letter to your GP or CCG:

Try and keep your story concise if adding personal details to the letter. It is more likely to be read if it isn’t too long

In England, it is your local CCG (Clinical Commissioning Groups) who have the power to make decisions and changes to services offered. As well as writing to your local GPs, it would be extremely beneficial to also send the same letter to your CCG. To find yours, visit: https://www.england.nhs.uk/ccg-directory/
In Wales, we advise you also write to the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee. https://whssc.nhs.wales/contact-us/
In Scotland, we advise you also write to your regional board. NHSScotland consists of 14 regional NHS Boards which are responsible for the protection and the improvement of their population’s health and for the delivery of frontline healthcare services and 7 Special NHS Boards and 1 public health body who support the regional NHS Boards by providing a range of important specialist and national services.
